Overall Project Manager Cycling Routes

The cycling routes form a central component for a safe, continuous and attractive cycling network in the Canton of Zurich. You will help shape this project from the very beginning.

Do you keep an overview even in complex infrastructure projects, enjoy thinking strategically and bring together people with different perspectives? Together with municipalities, specialists and other stakeholders, you develop sustainable solutions for the mobility of tomorrow.

In this role, you manage and coordinate the planning and implementation of the various project phases at a higher level. You provide orientation, keep the big picture in mind and represent the interests of the TBA in collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

You can expect a diverse project portfolio with great creative freedom and high visibility.

Your tasks

• You establish and lead the project organisations for the implementation of the cycling routes.
• You manage the cycling route projects at a higher level and ensure compliance with quality, costs and deadlines.
• You represent the TBA towards municipalities, other cantonal authorities and private third parties.
• You lead preliminary studies in individual sections and prepare decision-making bases.

Your profile

• You have a university degree related to civil engineering or a related field.
• You bring experience in complex infrastructure projects and are interested in the further development of cycling traffic.
• You communicate openly, think in networks and develop sustainable solutions together with different stakeholders.
• You keep the big picture in mind even in demanding situations and take responsibility.
• You are enthusiastic about sustainable mobility, enjoy shaping new things and want to advance the cycling routes together with others.

The Project Development Department (PE) plans and develops holistic road spaces of the cantonal road network. In addition to settlement-compatible traffic management in town centres, a continuous and safe cycle path network is particularly in focus. To achieve these goals, various stakeholders such as the local municipalities are directly involved in the planning process. The PE department takes the leading role in the planning process and serves as a central contact point for all project-affected parties and stakeholders regarding traffic planning concerns.
