Product Owner AI Core Services 80 - 100%Are you ready to actively shape the future of the Canton of Zurich? Together with you, we at the Digital Administration division of the State Chancellery are driving forward the digital transformation of the Canton of Zurich.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers great potential to effectively support the administration and to provide its services to the public and businesses efficiently, securely, and appropriately. The use of AI can relieve employees, simplify processes, and improve the quality of services. At the same time, clear frameworks, reliability, and a responsible approach to data, security, and ethical issues are required.
In the administration, and especially in the Office for IT, the Office for Statistics and Data, the Personnel Office, and the Digital Administration division, we therefore promote the safe, responsible, and value-adding use of AI. An important component is AI core services that specifically support employees in their daily work, for example with transcriptions, text processing, or chatbot solutions.

In the Digital Administration division, we are looking for a Product Owner AI Core Services starting in September or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- You are professionally responsible for the AI core services throughout their entire lifecycle at the interface between users, business, and technology. Specifically, this means:
- You take on the professional application responsibility, define product goals, requirements, success criteria, and manage further developments of the AI core services.
- You manage internal and external development partners professionally and ensure compatibility with specialist applications, new use cases, and features.
- You manage the portfolio of AI core services throughout the entire lifecycle, including synergies, dependencies, continued operation, replacement, decommissioning, as well as regular evaluation of benefits, cost-effectiveness, and alternative solutions.
- You ensure target-group-appropriate communication, up-to-date documentation, professional support and advice, and support the sustainable introduction and anchoring of the AI core services.
- You lead projects for the development and operational transfer of AI core services.
Your profile
- You have a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Business, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a comparable course of study.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in project management and/or product ownership as well as experience in applying agile methods.
- You have a fundamental understanding of the functioning, possibilities, and limitations of AI systems.
- You communicate clearly and confidently mediate between professional requirements, technical possibilities, and organisational framework conditions.
- You assess different interests, dependencies, and goal conflicts in a structured manner and make transparent prioritisation and product decisions.
- You have frustration tolerance and remain capable of acting even in uncertainties, goal conflicts, or complex coordination.
