About the job
Our client is looking for a committed professional for the finance department who will take responsibility for ongoing accounting, financial statement preparation, and financial reporting. - Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and support during audits and reviews
- Handling accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice verification, payment transactions, as well as dunning and debt collection
- Processing of value-added tax (VAT) including preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring tax compliance
- Participation in budgeting, forecasts, and financial reporting as well as preparation of evaluations and analyses for management
- Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (OR) and good knowledge in the area of VAT
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, especially in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
- Proficient language skills in German and good skills in English, both written and spoken
- Experienced user of ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel (e.g. SAP, Abacus, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage or Navision)
- International field of activity

Responsibilities
- Management of financial accounting including posting all business transactions as well as reconciliation of accounts and sub-ledgers- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and support during audits and reviews
- Handling accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice verification, payment transactions, as well as dunning and debt collection
- Processing of value-added tax (VAT) including preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring tax compliance
- Participation in budgeting, forecasts, and financial reporting as well as preparation of evaluations and analyses for management
Profile
- Completed commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting (e.g. accounting clerk or professional certificate in finance and accounting)- Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (OR) and good knowledge in the area of VAT
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, especially in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
- Proficient language skills in German and good skills in English, both written and spoken
- Experienced user of ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel (e.g. SAP, Abacus, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage or Navision)
