The central role of the Labor Inspectorate is labor market supervision and the protection of employee rights as well as ensuring fair and safe working conditions. The inspector contributes with his/her work to combating abuses and promoting a fair and transparent labor market.
We are looking for a
Labor Market Inspector 80–100 %
immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Assistance in the enforcement of labor market supervision, in particular monitoring and ensuring compliance with labor law regulations and rules
- Professional support and deputy management
- Ensuring wage and working conditions of cross-border service providers and EU job entries with Swiss employers
- Planning, organizing, and conducting undeclared work controls
- Fieldwork on construction sites and in trade/industry
- Review of application documents for permit-required job entries
- Issuance of work permits for third-country nationals
- Participation in regional/national working groups
Requirements
- Technical or commercial basic training with specific professional experience
- Further training as an ASGS specialist or willingness to complete it
- Knowledge of foreigner and labor law is an advantage
- Driver's license category B, private vehicle required for official use
- Confident written and oral correspondence
- High level of resilience, sense of responsibility, and decisiveness
- Customer orientation and enjoyment in dealing with people
