Consultant for Business Development Sector

Plantahof | 60-80 % | Landquart

The Plantahof is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs and is the centre of expertise for agricultural training and consultancy in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the basic vocational school in agriculture, the Plantahof offers various continuing education courses, professional development courses and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consultancy and the transfer of specialist knowledge in favour of Graubünden and Glarus agricultural and alpine farms and other circles concerned with agricultural issues. For these purposes, it also operates its own agricultural and experimental farm at four different locations together with two farm shops. It also has a conference centre with boarding facilities, an auditorium and a canteen.

To strengthen the consultancy sector, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a consultant for the business development sector

Tasks

Development of individual business concepts as well as strategic decision-making bases for family-run farms
Preparation of sustainability calculations and financing reports
Consultancy for families managing a farm in the process of transferring the business
Consultancy for private individuals, municipalities as well as other private and public institutions on agricultural matters
Organisation and implementation of professional development activities in the business development sector
Establishing contacts within the business development sector and between sectors
Teaching at the school for farm managers

What we expect from you

Degree (bachelor or master) in agronomy or equivalent training
Professional experience and knowledge in the field of business management
Experience in training and consultancy sectors
Additional qualification as a teacher and consultant (further studies in training and consultancy)
You are a team player, reliable, motivated and willing to take on responsibility
The working language is generally German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage.
