The Peace Court primarily serves as the child and adult protection authority. It acts upon request or ex officio. After the procedure is completed, a decision is made whether a measure is to be ordered. The peace judge also has responsibilities in inheritance law and in the area of judicial restraining orders.

Your tasks

• Drafting decisions in civil law, especially in the area of adult and child protection law
• Participation in meetings of the adult and child protection authority and minute-taking at court hearings
• Support of the court clerk's office: contacts with the persons concerned and their close persons as well as with external offices, especially for the legal support of guardians and third parties
• Telephone and general information services
• Legal research
• Maintaining court files and drafting general correspondence

Desired profile

• Completed legal university studies (Master or Bachelor but completed university course)
• Excellent legal writing skills, independence, resilience and ability to work in a team
• Communication and organisational skills as well as pleasant manners
• Excellent IT skills
• Proficiency in French or German with good oral and written knowledge of the other language
