About the job
Shape central financial market rules within the Policy Team and make a direct contribution to maintaining financial stability together with strong partners.
Main tasks
- Strategic and substantive collaboration in the development of regulatory proposals; assuming professional responsibility for sub-areas according to competencies
- Representation of FINMA in regulatory projects for banks, insurance companies and financial market infrastructures as well as towards national and international partner authorities
- Preparation of decision-making bases and briefings for FINMA committees
- Participation in international working groups (e.g. Financial Stability Board) by arrangement
Profile
- University degree, preferably in law or economics
- Experience in finance and/or financial regulation (ideally recovery and resolution or capital, liquidity or risk management) at banks, insurance companies, financial market infrastructures, authorities or audit/consulting firms
- Strong communication skills: presenting complex issues clearly, understandably and appropriately for the target audience (written and oral)
- High degree of self-organisation and structured working style
- Enjoyment of project-oriented collaboration with different stakeholders
- Very good German (C2) and English skills (C1); additional official language an advantage
