Company Description
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a nationally and internationally recognised institution. To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our 2025 retrospective by clicking here.
The position is attached to the Operations Department. This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the smooth running of all HUG services, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the sterilisation service, the biomedical and equipment service, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,300 professionals carry out their duties daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.
The Cressy Santé centre, the only balneotherapy centre in Geneva that welcomes people with reduced mobility for rehabilitation and readaptation, hosts those wishing to heal and relax in a large wellness area. Covering 2400 m2, it includes, among other things, a 300 m2 pool, a large jacuzzi, a relaxation room, a sauna, a hammam, an odour room, a fitness area, and a 27 m2 rehabilitation and physiotherapy pool. All Cressy Santé facilities are designed to be accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Job Description
As part of your role, you ensure constant supervision of the pools and users, ensure compliance with hygiene, safety rules, and internal regulations, and actively participate in accident prevention. You intervene in case of incident or accident according to current procedures, notably in rescue, first aid, cardiac massage, and use of the automatic defibrillator.
You welcome, inform, and supervise users, adopt appropriate behaviour towards a clientele with varied profiles, and are able to defuse delicate or conflictual situations. You also supervise and lead aquatic activities (aquagym and others).
Furthermore, you ensure the proper functioning of the facilities, carry out technical checks and interventions on equipment according to defined protocols, and maintain order and cleanliness of the premises (cleaning of changing rooms and other areas). You report any anomalies observed and ensure the transmission of necessary information to management. You may also be required, during the annual closure of Cressy Santé, to carry out various repairs and technical interventions.
The position requires great rigour, a strong sense of responsibility, good physical condition, and proven ability to work under stress.
Qualifications
You hold a minimum ProPool level aquatic first aid certificate and a valid BLS AED first aid diploma from the Swiss Rescue Society, or equivalent, which you commit to renewing every 2 years, as well as additional training in aquatic activities.
You have at least three years of professional experience in a bath attendant or equivalent role. You possess technical knowledge related to the operation and safety of aquatic facilities.
Fluency in French, both spoken and written, is required, as well as basic computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
A Federal VET Diploma in a technical or manual profession and knowledge of a foreign language are assets.
