Pre-internship for curative, social-pedagogical and therapeutic professions

The Center for Children with Sensory and Physical Disabilities ZKSK is an interdisciplinary competence center for children and adolescents with physical, sensory, and multiple disabilities in the canton of Solothurn. At four locations, we offer educational support, individual medical and pedagogical therapy services, as well as housing options. With psychological and medical assessments and therapies, we support, advise, and accompany children and families.

At our special day schools in Solothurn and Trimbach, we offer motivated individuals interested in pedagogical and medical fields the opportunity to complete a very versatile and interesting pre-internship for pedagogical and therapeutic professions starting August 1, 2026. We have four positions available:

Pre-internship for curative, social-pedagogical, and therapeutic professions (workload during school weeks 70 to 100%)

You are aiming for training or studies in a pedagogical or therapeutic profession and will first complete an internship with us at ZKSK. You will gain insights into pedagogical and therapeutic work with children and adolescents with sensory and physical disabilities at various school levels. The internship position is limited to twelve months.

You bring with you

• Motivation and willingness to support class and care staff in school, therapeutic, nursing, and everyday activities
• Enjoyment in working with children and adolescents with disabilities
• Strong empathy
• Responsible, dynamic, resilient, and humorous personality
• High communication and social skills as well as teamwork ability
• Minimum age 18 years
• Intention to pursue training in a pedagogical or therapeutic profession.

We offer you

• You will learn valuable information about special education and curative pedagogy, various therapies, and social pedagogy and gain broad practical experience
• You will assist in teaching and independently supervise small student groups
• You will experience interdisciplinary collaboration, including in projects and camps
• Depending on possibility and interest, we will gladly arrange a trial placement in the social-pedagogical area or in therapy (occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychomotor therapy, and speech therapy)
• Competent internship supervision by a specialist for exchange on professional questions
• 5-day week. The workload during school weeks is 70 to 100%, averaging 60 to 80% annually with about 12 weeks of vacation.
• The internship is paid with at least CHF 2,000 (gross, 100%, 13 monthly salaries).
• Good infrastructure and accessibility, 10 minutes from Solothurn main station or Olten main station.
