About the job
The Waldheim Foundation offers people with intellectual, physical, and psychological disabilities a variety of residential and day-structure places in six residential homes. More than 340 employees are committed to the high quality of life of around 220 clients.
Our Riding Stable Rüti consists of a therapy and riding operation with around 19 jobs in the second labor market, residential places, and 15 horses, to which an agricultural operation is attached.
We are looking immediately or by arrangement for the Riding Stable Rüti in Grub AR for a:
Equine Specialist (80-100%)
Your tasks:
- Training and further education of therapy horses
- Corrective riding of horses under health and horse-appropriate aspects
- Giving riding lessons (individual and group lessons) for children, adults, and people with disabilities
- Collaboration with therapists, care staff, and the stable team
- Participation in the creation of training and deployment plans for the horses
- Ensuring a professionally correct, calm, and horse-friendly handling of the animals
What you bring:
- Completed training as an equine specialist EFZ
- Several years of experience in training and correcting horses
- Experience with therapy horses or willingness for appropriate familiarization
- Confident, sensitive in riding as well as with a pronounced feeling for horses and people
- Responsible, resilient, and team-oriented personality
- Calm, clear, and professional working style
