Social Diaconate with a Focus on Youth / Young Adults (80%)
The church district ten belongs to the church community of Zurich and includes the neighborhoods of Höngg, Oberengstringen, and Wipkingen West. To support our dedicated diaconal team, we are looking for you as of October 15, 2025, or by agreement.
Your Tasks
- Main responsibility for open youth work
- Relationship building with adolescents and young adults
- Development of needs-oriented, participatory offerings for adolescents and young adults
- Leading the middle school meeting on Wednesday afternoons
- Organization, implementation, and support of camps and offerings such as Snow Weekend, Surf Camp, and Wintertime
- Implementation of intergenerational, diaconal projects such as Sing-Along Christmas, Mobile Workshop
- Support of events within the framework of religious education for upper secondary school (rpg3)
- Training and promotion of youth leaders
Your Profile
- Completed training in socio-cultural animation, social work (FH), or comparable training with experience in youth work and/or adult education
- Social diaconal training desired or willingness to acquire it
- Competence for conceptual work as well as team and consensus ability
- Natural, empathetic approach to adolescents and young adults
- Ability to inspire, networked thinking, and pragmatic action
- Christian attitude that is expressed in the work
- Digital skills, especially in Microsoft Office and social media
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends
- Affiliation with the Evangelical Reformed Church is desirable
