Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager Construction for the planning and realisation of diverse construction projects at an industrial production site. The spectrum ranges from maintenance and renovation measures to conversions and smaller new construction projects during ongoing operations. You will be responsible for projects from needs definition through planning, tendering, and awarding to execution and commissioning. In doing so, you coordinate internal departments, authorities, architectural and engineering offices, as well as executing companies, ensuring compliance with costs, deadlines, quality, and occupational safety.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of construction, conversion, renovation, and maintenance projects from needs definition to commissioning
Creation and control of project, investment, cost, and schedule plans
Planning and execution of tendering, bid comparisons, awarding, and commissioning
Leadership and coordination of external architects, civil engineers, specialist planners, and contractors
Conducting condition analyses of buildings and structural facilities as well as developing suitable renovation and maintenance concepts
Planning of structural interventions considering the special requirements of an ongoing production operation
Monitoring of construction execution, conducting site inspections, and controlling quality and construction progress
Review of offers, invoices, time and material work, and change orders as well as ongoing cost control
Coordination of interfaces between construction, building services, production, maintenance, and operations
Coordination of construction projects with authorities, internal clients, and external project partners
Ensuring compliance with occupational safety, quality, compliance, and legal construction requirements
Organisation of acceptances, commissioning, defect rectification, and project documentation
Qualifications:
Degree as Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Architect FH/ETH, Certified Technician HF Construction Planning/Management or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in project management and realisation of construction, conversion, or renovation projects
Sound knowledge in construction management, tendering, awarding, as well as cost and schedule management
Experience with construction projects in industrial, production, or existing buildings is an advantage
Good knowledge of Swiss construction practice, SIA standards, and occupational safety requirements
Confident handling of MS Office; knowledge of CAD and project management systems is an advantage
Very good German skills and English skills are an advantage
