About the job

The Goldau Nature and Animal Park delights around 450,000 visitors annually. On 42 hectares, around 100 European wild animal species live. Approximately 200 employees and numerous volunteers are committed to nature and species conservation, education, and research, and sustainably develop the scientifically managed animal park.

Do you combine entrepreneurial thinking with a passion for events and hospitality? In this key position, you are responsible for the event business from the first customer enquiry to successful on-site execution. In doing so, you actively develop our event offerings and create special experiences in a unique natural setting.

We are looking for a personality to join us immediately or by arrangement as

Event Manager (80–100 %)

Your tasks

• You are responsible for the acquisition, planning, organisation, and execution of events from A to Z
• You prepare and negotiate offers, contracts, and calculations and develop schedules
• You coordinate events with internal departments and lead or instruct the involved employees
• You maintain existing customer relationships, acquire new customers, and identify sales and additional sales potential
• You further develop the event offering and design new, attractive formats for day, event, and seminar guests
• You manage one employee and coordinate the staff deployed for events

Your profile

• Education or further training in event management, hospitality, gastronomy, or tourism with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in independently planning and implementing demanding events
• Sound knowledge of gastronomy and a strong understanding of operational processes, quality, and service
• Strong organisational and coordination skills as well as a structured, reliable, and independent working style
• Entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and a good sense for attractive offers and market potential
• Resilience and calmness, even with several simultaneous events
