From 01.09.2027 we are looking for you for the 3-year training as a shunter in freight transport (railway worker in operational service train driver transport) (m/f/d) at DB Cargo AG in Oberhausen. The vocational school is in Duisburg.

This is what awaits you in your training:

• You mainly shunt freight wagons
• As a shunter, you also assemble trains by uncoupling and coupling individual wagons
• You also check the functionality of freight trains and the securing of loads
• You learn your vehicle inside out, as well as the rules of safe railway operation
• Occasionally you drive your locomotive to nearby customers in your region and collect goods
• You start and end your working day as a shunter at your regional marshalling yard

Your profile:

• You have (soon) successfully completed school and your school leaving certificate is recognised in Germany
• Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 level
• You really enjoy working outdoors and are enthusiastic about technology
• Responsibility is definitely your thing and you also like making decisions
• You are definitely reliable
• Working shifts and also at weekends and on public holidays is also fine for you
