Freight Forwarding Clerk Sea Freight LCL & FCL Import & Export

Initial Situation

Sea freight means more to you than just sending containers from A to B? You keep track even when ships are delayed and plans go overboard? Then this could be a great fit! Our client is looking for reinforcement for their sea freight team – someone who thinks ahead, takes initiative, and keeps a cool head even when things get a bit turbulent at sea.

Tasks

• Coordinate sea freight transports (LCL/FCL)
• Obtain freight rates from shipping companies and NVOCCs
• Calculate and offer ad-hoc prices
• Plan and organise pre-carriage, main carriage, and on-carriage
• Monitor ongoing shipments and costs
• Calculate cargo transport insurances
• Notify customers, agents, and carriers
• Handle delays, error reports, and complaints
• Invoice and archive dossiers
• General commercial activities

Requirements

• Completed training in international freight forwarding logistics
• Three to four years of professional experience as a freight forwarding clerk in sea freight
• Collegial, helpful, and committed personality

IT Skills

MS Office - good knowledge

Languages

German: native language
English: good written and spoken
