The Swiss Saltworks ensure the salt supply for Switzerland on behalf of the cantons and the Principality of Liechtenstein. In doing so, the Swiss Saltworks not only fulfil their supply mandate but also guarantee – especially in harsh winters – flawless mobility for the entire population.

To operate our production facilities efficiently and safely, we are looking for reinforcement for our evaporation plant in Schweizerhalle.

Your role

In this role, you ensure that our steam and compressed air supply functions reliably – making you a central part of our salt production running smoothly. You monitor technical systems, carry out inspections and analyses, and are an important specialist in the operation of our energy and supply facilities.

You work independently, with technical versatility and great responsibility in an industrial environment with a plant complex.

What you can achieve with us

• Ensuring the trouble-free operation of our steam boiler systems
• Responsibility for compressed air generation as well as supporting processes in salt production
• Carrying out periodic inspections, analyses and technical checks
• Monitoring and analysing boiler feed water as well as sampling and checking auxiliary materials
• Assisting with brine cleaning and preparation of auxiliary materials
• Troubleshooting technical faults and supporting revisions and maintenance work
• Preparing technical reports and performing work according to defined safety and quality standards
• Coordinating oil drains and conducting tank inspections
• Supporting production through flexible deployment within the evaporation plant

Your qualities as a professional and person

• Completed technical basic training, e.g. as a mechanic, locksmith, heating installer or electrician
• Completed heating plant operator course
• Experience in operating technical systems or as a boiler house operator is an advantage
• Good technical knowledge of systems and enthusiasm for industrial processes
• Independent, structured and responsible working style
• Strong safety awareness and high reliability
• Willingness for flexible working hours and deployment outside regular hours in case of faults
• Team player, hands-on mentality and interest in new technologies
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
