City Green Winterthur plans, maintains and manages the green and open spaces, the forest, the Bruderhaus wildlife park, the five cemeteries as well as the crematorium of the garden city Winterthur. Our services are central to the quality of the garden city Winterthur as a residential and business location. For the management of our tree care, we are looking for a strong leader, professionally skilled and digitally savvy individual. Together with your team, internal specialist departments and external partners, you will shape a safe, healthy and sustainable development of Winterthur’s city trees.

Your Tasks

Professional and personnel leadership as well as further development of the tree care team (4–5 employees)

Overall responsibility for tree inspections, reports, operational tree protection and detailed investigations

Planning, coordination and prioritisation of all tree care measures, felling and replacement planting

Ensuring traffic and occupational safety, quality standards

Coordination and quality assurance of external partners as well as data maintenance of the tree cadastre

Your Profile

Professional training in forestry, tree care or comparable qualification with proven practical experience

Several years of leadership and professional experience in tree care, forestry, horticulture or a comparable technical environment

Expertise in tree inspection, tree care, tree protection as well as safety and measure planning

Organised and team-oriented leadership personality with a strong awareness of quality, safety and costs

High IT and process affinity as well as confidence in administrative work

Experience with GIS, tree cadastres and data management is an advantage
