Your Tasks
As Head of Tariff and Service Management, you are responsible for negotiating the service contracts between Kantonsspital Aarau AG (KSA) and the health insurers. You are the primary contact for insurers and purchasing cooperatives and are responsible for preparing and conducting all tariff negotiations.
You lead a team with a specialist responsible for tariff and service management as well as a head of service management and her team of six tariff specialists. You are part of the management team of the Finance Directorate and report directly to the CFO. In this responsible position, you contribute significantly to the economic control and correct billing of the medical services provided. Together with your team, you ensure the correct application of the tariff systems and are committed to the correct, complete, and timely recording of services in the clinics. You continuously optimize existing processes.
- Leadership and further development of the tariff and service management area
- Conducting all tariff negotiations in both outpatient and inpatient areas and preparing the necessary negotiation bases
- Further development of service differentiation in the area of supplementary insurance and self-payer offers
- Analysis and optimization of service recording and billing processes. Direct and regular exchange with the clinics
- Monitoring legal and tariff developments and ensuring their application at KSA
- Representing KSA interests in national and cantonal expert committees, expert groups, and negotiation delegations
- Collaboration with internal specialist departments and external partners (e.g., insurers, associations, authorities)
- Leadership and participation in cross-departmental projects and working groups
Your Profile
- University degree in health economics, business administration, or comparable education
- Several years of professional experience in tariff or service management, ideally in a hospital environment
- Leadership experience and strong communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Swiss tariff systems and hospital financing
- Analytical, networked, and entrepreneurial thinking
- Team player, resilient, proactive, and engaging personality
- IT affinity and experience in digitizing processes
