IT Team Leader

About the job

As an IT Team Leader, you are responsible for the reliable operation, security, and further development of ESB's IT environment. You contribute to advancing our operating model towards a hybrid, standardised, and service-oriented organisation, working closely with internal teams and our external partners.

This is your job

• Leading and developing the IT team as well as ensuring an efficient and service-oriented organisation.
• Ensuring the availability, performance, and security of infrastructure, systems, and IT services.
• Responsibility for business applications as well as coordination of IT product owners and the responsible partners.
• Managing IT service providers, contracts, and budgets with regard to quality and costs.
• Controlling IT projects and developments from conception to transfer into operation.
• Ensuring IT governance, operational continuity, and further development of the IT environment in collaboration with the functions for security, data, and IT strategy.

This is what you bring with you 

• Completed training in computer science or business informatics or a comparable higher professional qualification, ideally supplemented by further training in IT service management, governance, or project management.
• Several years of experience in a responsible IT operations or IT management role, ideally in a complex or regulated organisation, as well as experience in leading employees.
• Proven experience in managing outsourcing and managed service partners, contracts, SLAs, IT budgets, and projects.
• Sound knowledge in IT operations, hybrid infrastructures, Microsoft 365/Azure, networks, identity & access management, backup, cyber security, and business applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills as well as an analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style. An ITIL certification is an advantage.
• German or French as a main language, with good knowledge of the other language and good technical English skills.
