Confidential Air Freight Forwarding Clerk

Initial Situation

Not every interesting position needs to be publicly advertised immediately. Currently, we are managing several confidential job offers at various forwarding companies and are looking for forwarding clerks with experience in air freight. Whether import or export, general cargo, DGR or GDP – based entirely on your knowledge and preferences, we will jointly determine which opportunity suits you best.

Tasks

• independently handling air freight shipments in import or export
• obtaining and calculating freight rates as well as preparing quotations
• booking freight space with airlines and coordinating pre- and on-carriage
• preparing and checking transport and shipping documents
• communicating with customers, airlines and international agents
• monitoring shipments and delivery dates as well as resolving irregularities
• supporting and advising customers in day-to-day business

Requirements

• completed training as a forwarding clerk
• professional experience in air freight, import or export in Switzerland is essential
• good knowledge of processes and documentation in air freight
• independent, reliable and customer-oriented working style

IT

MS Office – good knowledge

Languages

German: spoken and written very good
English: spoken and written good enough to handle air freight shipments :-)
