Senior Product Manager Purification

As Senior Product Manager Purification, you will shape the strategic and commercial development of BUCHI’s global Preparative Purification portfolio, including Preparative Liquid Chromatography (LC), Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), and consumables. You will lead the Purification Product Management team and take ownership of portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, business performance, and commercialization. Combining strong chromatography expertise with a commercial mindset, you will translate customer and market needs into successful products and growth opportunities. The role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).

Your Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Purification Product Management team.
• Define and drive the global portfolio strategy and product roadmap.
• Drive profitable growth across LC, SFC, and consumables.
• Build a deep understanding of customers, applications, markets, and competitors.
• Translate market needs into product requirements, business cases, and innovation priorities.
• Drive product lifecycle decisions and identify new growth opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams on positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Commercial, Operations, Service, and Quality to ensure successful execution and product launches.

What You Bring

• MSc, PhD, or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in chromatography, ideally preparative LC, flash chromatography, and/or SFC.
• Several years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Business Development, or Commercial Management, ideally in scientific instrumentation or a related industry.
• Experience leading Product Managers or cross-functional teams.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset with a clear customer focus.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.

Working Model

• International travel approximately 20–30%.
• Hybrid working model with regular presence at BUCHI locations and customer sites.
