Your new role
Your main tasks in this position are the independent management of child and adult protection procedures in collaboration with the specialist service as well as decision-making in child and adult protection. In addition, you supervise ongoing child and adult protection measures and advise guardians.
This position is suitable for you if
- You have a completed degree in education, psychology, law, or social work.
- You have knowledge in child and adult protection and possibly in personal, family, inheritance, and administrative law.
- You bring relevant professional experience from a KESB, a youth advocacy office, or a professional guardianship.
- You appreciate working with authority members and the staff of the specialist service in an interdisciplinary team.
- You can count independent and precise working methods as well as good self-organisation among your strengths.
- You are characterised by high social competence, are very resilient and flexible, and feel mentally prepared for the demanding field of activity.
- You want to contribute your conceptual and analytical skills.
- You find oral and written communication at a high level easy and can confidently present yourself to your stakeholders.
- You are conscientious, reliable, dependable, and open.

Our department
The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) is responsible for implementing child and adult protection law. The KESB Region St.Gallen also fulfils the tasks of the KESB for the political municipalities of Eggersriet, Häggenschwil, Muolen, and Wittenbach. We work in an interdisciplinary team and value dealing with the affected children, adults, and other parties involved in the proceedings. We approach people openly and without prejudice and are committed to sustainable child and adult protection.
