• Responsibility for the global cyber defence strategy as well as the continuous development of all security operations capabilities in close coordination with the CISO
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Cyber Defence team as well as management of the internal and external Security Operations Centres (SOC)
• Ensuring effective detection, analysis, and defence against cyber threats through incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring
• Responsibility for security engineering and detection engineering as well as the further development of the security tool stack (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, cloud and identity security)
• Management of exposure including vulnerability management, attack surface management, and security posture management
• Taking overall responsibility in critical cyber incidents and crisis situations as well as conducting lessons learned and continuous improvement measures
• Management of security service providers and technology partners as well as regular reporting of risks, incidents, and maturity levels to management and executives

• More than 8 years of professional experience in cyber security, including at least 5 years in leadership roles within cyber defence, security operations, or security operations centres (SOC)
• Proven experience in building, developing, or managing internal and external (managed) security operations services
• Solid knowledge in incident response, detection engineering, threat hunting, and exposure management in complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of modern attack methods and the ability to analyse and detect threats early from an attacker’s perspective
• Deep expertise in SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, identity and cloud security solutions as well as hybrid IT landscapes
• High leadership and communication skills with experience in leading international teams and stakeholder management at various levels
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or comparable qualifications are advantageous
