IT Technician - Long-term Assignment at 100%

Job Description

On behalf of our client, a public sector organisation, we are looking for an IT Technician for a long-term assignment at 100%.

You will be responsible for the preparation, delivery and installation of IT equipment and will participate in the renewal of the workstation fleet.

Main Tasks

Configure, deliver, install and commission desktop computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
Participate in the renewal of workstations within the scope of assigned activities.
Configure the BIOS, deploy system images by cloning and connect equipment to the network.
Receive goods and check their conformity with delivery notes and purchase requests.
Record entries, exits and movements of equipment in management databases.
Inspect, clean and repackage equipment returned by users.
Remove equipment references from relevant tools, including Active Directory, SCCM and SecureDoc.
Follow safety instructions during the transport and handling of equipment.
Identify situations requiring escalation and contact the appropriate persons.

We are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:

Federal diploma in IT and at least three years’ experience in installing and configuring workstations and printers.
Valid driving licence and proficiency in driving vans and trucks equipped with a hydraulic lift.
Proficiency in Windows, as well as office tools Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good knowledge of Active Directory and SCCM, as well as CFI and ITSM applications.
Fluency in French, both spoken and written.
Good physical condition for handling sometimes heavy equipment and adherence to safety rules.
Service-oriented, autonomous, rigorous, reliable and punctual.
Team spirit, good interpersonal skills and professional communication.
Organisation, priority management and ability to react calmly to unforeseen events.
Commitment to assigned activities; complaint management and willingness for continuous training are appreciated.
