About the job

Your new role

As a geomatician specialising in surveying, you work at the interface of technology, digitalisation and the environment. You capture, process and analyse geographic data, thereby making an important contribution to the planning and development of cities and municipalities.

During your training, you will spend about half your time working in the office and half outdoors. In the field, you survey terrain, buildings and plots of land using modern measuring instruments such as total stations and GPS. In the office, you evaluate the collected data, process it with specialised software and create plans, maps and digital models.

Your work requires a high degree of accuracy and responsibility, as the data serves as a basis for construction projects, planning and official registers, among other things.

Your tasks

• Surveying terrain, buildings and plots of land outdoors
• Using the latest surveying instruments such as total stations and GPS
• Evaluating and processing measurement data in the office
• Creating and updating plans, maps and digital models
• Working with current surveying software
• Ensuring the accuracy and quality of the data
