Wädenswil is an attractive town on the left shore of Lake Zurich with around 26,000 inhabitants. The city administration employs approximately 380 staff who provide comprehensive services to the population on a daily basis.

For the Social Affairs staff (Social Affairs Department), we are looking for a professionally competent, independent, and communicative personality from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Specialist in Social Insurance Law and Social Assistance, 50%

You will support the Social Affairs management and social workers with demanding social insurance and procedural law issues. In doing so, you ensure a well-founded legal assessment and contribute to the quality of decisions in the area of economic social assistance.

Your areas of responsibility include

• Support in identifying social insurance benefit entitlements
• Legal review of complex individual cases, especially in social insurance law
• Drafting demanding decisions and legal pre-examination of decisions in the area of economic social assistance
• Participation in appeal procedures and supervisory complaints as well as drafting decisions and statements
• Conducting discussions within the framework of the legal hearing
• Participation in the creation and further development of manuals, especially on legal issues

What you bring

• Completed education, preferably at tertiary level, as well as further training as a social insurance specialist with a federal diploma or a comparable qualification
• Sound knowledge and experience in the field of social security, ideally complemented by administrative experience in the social sector
• Independent, structured, and precise way of working
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as the ability to present complex matters clearly and appropriately for the target audience
• Open and clear communication skills
