About the job
About the Position
As a Maintenance and Service Technician, you ensure the high availability, reliability, and operational safety of our production facilities, automation systems, and technical infrastructures at the Wettingen site. You support production through professional troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical optimisations. In doing so, you work closely with various departments and actively contribute to the continuous development of our systems and the enhancement of our production processes to be more efficient and reliable.
What You Can Achieve
Ensuring reliable operation of our production facilities, automation systems, and technical infrastructure, as well as conducting system inspections and condition assessments
Analysing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related faults, including root cause analysis and sustainable implementation of corrective measures
Performing preventive maintenance and inspection tasks according to maintenance schedules, as well as continuously improving maintenance standards and service processes
Supporting production with technical issues and ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations
Identifying and implementing technical improvements to increase system availability, productivity, and quality, as well as participating in Lean, TPM, and Operational Excellence initiatives
Assisting with system optimisations, conversions, modernisations, and technical investment projects
Contributing to the management of critical spare parts and ensuring the technical availability of necessary components
Documenting faults, maintenance work, and improvement measures in the maintenance system, as well as adhering to safety and compliance requirements
What You Bring
Completed technical vocational training as an automation technician, mechatronics technician, polymechanic, electromechanical technician, or a comparable technical qualification
Experience in the maintenance of industrial production systems and knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, electrical engineering, and automation
Knowledge of PLC controls, robotics, and industrial automation systems is an advantage
Experience with SAP PM, maintenance management systems, or comparable tools, as well as understanding of TPM, Lean, and Operational Excellence methods
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style with strong problem-solving skills and a pronounced safety awareness
Team spirit, service orientation, and willingness to work in shifts and on-call duty
