About the job

The catering services of the Migros Zurich cooperative turn events of any size into a culinary experience. As deputy kitchen manager, you support the kitchen management, coordinate the team, and contribute your ideas. Whether gala or street food event: together you ensure quality and a smooth process. What you achieve

• You plan and implement the events assigned to you in the kitchen area and assist with setup and dismantling.
• You monitor production and ensure the implementation of the HACCP concept according to Migros guidelines.
• You place orders, create recipes, and calculate offers.
• You plan buffets, implement them, and brief the staff.
• You support the team in all kitchen areas and represent the QM responsible person for the control lists.

What you bring

• Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ)
• Specialisation: as a cook
• Professional experience: 2-3 years of experience in communal catering or event catering
• You are familiar with menu planning, inventory management, and hygiene regulations according to HACCP principles.
• You enjoy leading employees and ideally bring initial leadership experience.
• You work independently, are organised, and keep an overview even in hectic situations.
• You communicate clearly, enjoy working in a team, and pay attention to quality and costs.
• You hold a category B driving licence.
• German (B1)
