The drinking water in Zermatt consists of 100% pure spring water and is of very good quality.
It is sourced from 138 springs in 13 spring areas and transported to the village via 31 km of pipelines.

The reservoir system has a capacity of around 5,620 m and the 48 km long pipeline network supplies more than 1,600 houses as well as 210 hydrants and 30 wells with drinking water.

Operational Employee - Water Supply

Your area of responsibility
Your competencies
Monitoring, operation, and maintenance of
Completed vocational training in the pump industry or in the field of sanitary installation,
automation, electrical installation, or in a comparable field
On-call duty in a fair, weekly rotation
Driver's license category B
Management of water meters
Manual skills as well as a technical flair and
Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards in the entire drinking water system
Flexible and team-oriented (team player)
Conducting and documenting water quality controls according to legal requirements and QS assurance system
