Apprentice Automation Technician EFZ
In the four-year training at OST, you will learn about the current requirements from industry with a focus on automation in a scientific environment. You will acquire exciting and diverse skills and experiences. You will be supported by motivated practical trainers and simultaneously attend vocational school in St.Gallen.

What to expect
- You will work on the maintenance and expansion of our smart factory
- You will learn to handle sensors, control actuators, design and code PLC programmes
- You will assist with the electrical wiring and programming of stationary and mobile robots
- You will learn the development and realisation of electrical/electronic switching devices in the context of innovative Innosuisse projects
- You will work in a high-tech cleanroom laboratory and manufacture sensors and actuators in micrometre dimensions using microtechnical manufacturing processes
- You will be enabled to independently carry out smaller projects in the field of automation
