About the job
GWG is a housing cooperative where over 3500 people call home. We plan, build and renovate with foresight and a high standard of good architecture and quality. Our focus is on good and fair living – and on communities where people enjoy living together today and in the future.
To strengthen our construction team, we are looking for you – reliable, competent and open to new things.
Your scope for creativity:
- You represent GWG’s interests in demanding new build and renovation projects across all project phases.
- You manage and coordinate the project participants, ensuring quality, costs and deadlines are met.
- You act competently and reliably towards planning offices, authorities and construction companies.
- You lead the construction commission of your projects and ensure decisions are well prepared and comprehensible.
- You ensure a reliable flow of information to all parties involved.
- You incorporate the broad experience from our team in the areas of ecology, social issues and management into the construction projects.
In short: You take responsibility for our construction projects.
Your toolkit:
- You are an experienced construction professional, for example an architect, construction manager or building technician.
- You have successfully implemented demanding new build and/or renovation projects – from the start of construction to handover of keys.
- You are confident in negotiations with planners and companies and are well versed in SIA standards, contracts and guarantees.
- You bring a strong understanding of good architecture and a high standard of quality.
- You communicate on equal terms and can reconcile different interests.
- You find solutions instead of getting frustrated by problems. You enjoy your work and share our values.
Not all, but many of these? Perfect!
What we offer as an employer:
- A meaningful role: We build living spaces for people, not for profit.
- A diverse team that supports each other and shares knowledge.
- Open doors, short distances and genuine participation instead of "we’ve always done it this way".
- Variety, personal responsibility and appreciation for your work.
- Fair employment conditions and flexible working models.
- A modern workplace in the heart of Winterthur.
- Individual training opportunities.
- We work with commitment, a family atmosphere and simplicity – and also celebrate the small successes.
Sounds good? We think so too.
Our Head of Construction, Isabel Bernhard, looks forward to your application. The whole team is looking forward to meeting you. Please send your documents by 11 September.
