We are looking for a stone mason for our client in the Lausanne metropolitan area, for a long temporary assignment.
Stone Mason
- Training as a stone mason, specialised stonemason or equivalent professional experience.
- Good command of stone cutting and shaping techniques.
- Attention to detail, precision and pride in a job well done.
- Autonomy, reliability and team spirit.
- Experience in heritage restoration would be an asset.
Your tasks are as follows:
- Familiarise yourself with the site context (plans, sketches...), specific instructions and participate in the development of operating methods and work planning.
- Cut, shape and assemble natural stone elements according to plans and technical specifications.
- Create customised works: façades, staircases, frames, walls, paving, decorative elements, etc.
- Remove stones to be replaced, mark out the dressing, cut stones according to plans and site requirements.
- Adjust pieces for assembly and installation, carry out finishing work and any necessary touch-ups.
- Ensure the quality, precision and finishing of the completed works.
- Work in compliance with safety regulations and deadlines.
