Tasks
- Mitwirkung im Pastoralraumteam, verantwortlich für Familienkatechese.
- Durchführung von Predigtdiensten an Sonn- und Feiertagen.
- Gestaltung und Leitung von Beerdigungsfeierlichkeiten.
Skills
- Abgeschlossenes Theologiestudium und Berufseinführung im Bistum Basel erforderlich.
- Einfühlungsvermögen und Diskretion in seelsorglichen Gesprächen sind wichtig.
- Gute organisatorische Fähigkeiten und Kommunikation sind notwendig.

About the job
The three rural parishes Buttisholz, Grosswangen, and Ettiswil form a well-functioning pastoral area with 7,500 Catholics. The people are warm, open, and down-to-earth.From August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking for a parish pastor (60-80%)
Your tasks
• Collaboration in the pastoral area team with specialist responsibility for family catechesis
• Preaching service on Sundays and public holidays
• Organization and leadership of funeral services
• Support for the bereaved
• Conception and implementation of family pastoral care
• Individual pastoral care in various life situations
• Teaching religious education (2–3 lessons)
• Support and assistance for groups and committees
• Responsibility for pastoral area projects
• Cooperation with volunteers and laypeople
• Participation in the public relations work of the pastoral area
You bring with you
• Completed theology studies and professional introduction in the Diocese of Basel
• Joy in sharing life with people of all ages and interpreting it religiously
• Empathy and discretion in pastoral conversations
• Communication and dialogue skills in dealing with different life realities
• Enjoyment of team-oriented collaboration with full-time and volunteer staff
• Ability to independently plan and design pastoral offerings
• Willingness to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
• Good organizational skills and reliability
