About the job

We are a small, well-coordinated team of 9 people in Bülach and in Europe (Poland and the Balkan region) with a further 90 employees in sales as well as in the technical maintenance of diagnostic solutions. The main focus is on products and systems for blood typing and supporting blood transfusions in healthcare (laboratories, hospitals and blood banks).

As our previous accountant & financial officer is leaving the company, we are looking for a successor. You will work directly with management, make quick and straightforward decisions, and significantly shape your area independently.

The workplace is in Bülach. The start date is October/November 2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

Accounting: You independently manage the financial accounting and prepare the annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)

Audit: You prepare the audit and conduct it involving management – including acting as the contact person for the audit office

Debtors and creditors: You are responsible for debtor management including dunning as well as creditor processing and payment transactions

Cash and liquidity management: You plan and control liquidity, invest short-term funds with banks and handle currency transactions (spot and forwards)

Taxes: You coordinate cooperation with our Polish tax office and are the contact person for tax authorities – VAT, transfer pricing, state and municipal taxes. You submit the required documents and accompany tax audits; you are supported by audit and management

Personnel administration: Entries and exits, preparing and reviewing employment contracts, managing holidays and absences, time tracking, work permits, salary certificates, expense processing

Salaries and social insurances: You are responsible for payroll accounting as well as settlements with AHV/IV/EO, BVG, UVG/KTG and withholding tax

Your profile

Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting (e.g. federal specialist certificate, fiduciary) or a comparable qualification

Several years of experience in a comparable role, ideally as sole accountant in an SME – you are confident with financial statements and familiar with Swiss VAT and tax matters

Experience with SAP Business One is an advantage

Good knowledge of the MS Office environment

Good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form – you regularly communicate with partners in Poland, the Balkans and other countries

Independent, structured and reliable working style: In a team of our size, you manage your area independently and also pitch in where needed

Interest in a long-term collaboration

Discretion and careful handling of confidential information are a matter of course for you
