These are your tasks:
You will acquire competencies in practical work to socially advise, accompany and support people who are in a personal, social and/or financial emergency. This activity often begins with stabilizing people in difficult life situations and aims at regaining economic independence. For this purpose, you check and grant financial support, help in accessing other services, and support measures for reintegration into the labor market. During the internship, you will increasingly take responsibility for clients from the first contact to the termination of social assistance or the handover to other colleagues. You document your work in the client information system KLIB.
What you bring:
You are successful in your studies in Social Work (BSc) and are interested in activities in the field of social assistance including asylum care. You easily acquire legal knowledge and are able to approach and engage with other people. You have interest and/or experience in social insurance law and communication techniques. Working with people brings you as much joy as the administrative tasks necessary for professional work. You have a strategy to keep an overview in demanding situations as well as to deal with stressful situations. Empathy and professional boundaries are not a contradiction for you. You enjoy cooperating and working task-oriented with others in a team. You like to reflect on your work and use this as well as feedback from others for your personal and professional development.
