Social Worker 40-50% (Youth Sector)

The Directorate of Social Cohesion, Housing and Security of the City of Morges includes various offices, including the Office of Social Cohesion to which Espace Couvaloup is attached, a social work and activity centre of the City of Morges that offers various activities throughout the year as well as neighbourhood events for the general public. Espace Couvaloup is looking to fill a position of:

Social Worker 40-50% (Youth Sector)

Main tasks:

• participate in the sociocultural activities and events offered by Espace Couvaloup aimed at a young audience (8-25 years) (open receptions, activities during school holidays or other occasional outings…)
• build and develop projects in a team with and for young people
• manage the administrative, financial and logistical aspects of the activities
• develop events in the neighbourhoods and encourage the participation of residents.

We are looking for:

• a university of applied sciences or ES degree in social work or another qualification in public and community health or an equivalent qualification
• at least five years of professional experience in the social field or in an activity centre
• willingness to work flexible and irregular hours (evenings and some weekends)
• ability to work in a team as well as in a network and to be proactive
• a trainer practitioner diploma is an advantage
• good knowledge of local life and regional and cantonal institutions.
