An Assessment Specialist for the IV Office
Workload: 80% - 100%
The Disability Insurance (IV) is a nationwide compulsory social insurance. It supports insured persons who are threatened by or affected by disability through reintegration measures. The aim is for the insured persons to secure their livelihood wholly or partially independently. If such (re)integration is not or only partially possible, the IV pays out a (partial) pension.
Tasks
- Independent processing of assessment assignments for benefit applications
- Reviewing documents and obtaining missing paperwork
- Assessments on site, by telephone or based on files
- Conversations with insured persons, legal representatives as well as internal and external partners
- Writing legally compliant assessment reports and documenting the results
- Recording relevant data in the IV systems and processing benefits according to process guidelines
- Providing expert advice and written statements on objections and appeals
Requirements
- Qualified nurse, health professional or equivalent medical background, professional experience in psychiatry desired
- Discerning judgement and sense of responsibility
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Independence, reliability, cooperativeness and team orientation
- Resilience and goal-oriented action in demanding situations
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Category B driving licence, private car
