About the job
For our Autism Specialist Centre in Aarau, we are looking for you to start immediately or by arrangement as
Responsibilities
- You will take on the personnel and professional leadership of the Autism Specialist Centre (in co-leadership with the Senior Psychologist and the Head of Special Education).
- You will lead the clinical staff in assessing patients suspected of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), advising their parents and caregivers, and providing treatment where necessary.
- You will administer common psychological test procedures and conduct psychopharmacological adjustments, consultations, and treatments.
- You will make diagnoses and assessments according to the valid diagnostic schema and develop an action plan based on these.
- You will participate in the background emergency service of the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.
- You will ensure mutual representation of your colleagues at your leadership level during absences.
- You will collaborate with the management of the Centre for Outpatient Triage, Crisis Interventions and Special Consultations, as well as other departments of the CAP and external partners.
Profile
- You hold a specialist title in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy FMH, are close to completing it, or have an equivalent MEBEKO-recognised qualification.
- Ideally, you have leadership experience and leadership training or are willing to undertake such training.
- You enjoy interdisciplinary and guideline-oriented work and actively promote it.
- You are motivated to provide the most efficient assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, involving their families.
- You are characterised by initiative, high social competence, and appropriate communication, as well as flexibility and resilience.
- You are a humorous personality, both in everyday life and in dynamic situations, and thus complement our team ideally.
