The Les Châtaigniers Association operates a medico-social establishment (EMS), a home help and care organisation (OSAD), as well as an occupational therapy organisation. It considers that the quality of services primarily depends on the women and men who make them possible.

ICUS 1 – Unit Care Coordinator Nurse

As a Unit Care Coordinator Nurse (ICUS), you perform the fundamental duties of the nursing profession, with additional responsibilities for clinical coordination, care organisation, team supervision and continuous quality improvement.

You participate daily in clinical practice and care delivery, while ensuring their organisation, continuity, safety and compliance with professional and institutional requirements.

Your duties notably include:

• Clinical assessment of care needs;
• Clinical reasoning;
• Planning of interventions;
• Interprofessional coordination;
• Delivery of nursing services;
• Delegation and supervision of care activities;
• Clinical documentation;
• Communication with residents, beneficiaries, their relatives and network partners;
• Health prevention and promotion;
• Quality, safety and risk management;
• Supervision, training and skills development of professionals.

Profile sought

You are a qualified nurse called upon to perform a close supervision role combining clinical practice, care coordination, service organisation and professional skills development.

You meet the following conditions in particular:

• Bachelor of Science HES-SO in nursing, ES nursing diploma or Swiss or foreign qualification allowing professional practice in Switzerland; foreign qualifications must be recognised by the Swiss Red Cross in accordance with applicable provisions;
• authorisation to practise in the canton of Geneva obtained no later than the start of employment;
• proven professional experience in geriatrics in support, care and coordination of services for elderly people; experience in psychogeriatrics is an asset;
• commitment to the values and institutional project of the Les Châtaigniers Association;
• agile, participative, committed professional personality, showing discernment, a sense of responsibility and a strong interest in interprofessional work;
• demonstrated ability to exercise close management promoting collaboration, skills development and quality of care;
• proficiency with professional digital tools in the care field, notably the electronic resident record, clinical information systems and collaborative tools; knowledge of the PLAISIR model is an asset;
• good command of the Microsoft 365 environment, notably Word, Excel and Outlook.

Postgraduate training in management, clinical governance, quality, geriatrics, psychogeriatrics, infection prevention and control, palliative care or any other relevant field is desirable.

In the absence of such training, the selected person undertakes to undertake training adapted to the responsibilities of the position within a timeframe agreed with the Association.
