Head of Green Spaces

The Infrastructure Department of the City of Dietikon is responsible for the smooth supply of gas and water, waste management, wastewater disposal, maintenance of municipal roads as well as the upkeep of green spaces and the cemetery, and is distinguished by professional services.

Our team is looking for a skilled individual as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement

• Ensuring, maintaining and caring for the city’s parks and green spaces, planting in public areas, various flower beds, school grounds as well as promoting biodiversity
• Responsibility for cemetery maintenance including burials
• Responsibility for the maintenance of sports facilities
• Close cooperation with other specialist areas of the department and taking on winter on-call duty
• Promotion and development of the specialist area and representation internally and externally
• Leadership of subordinate employees

• Vocational training as a gardener or forest warden
• Further training as a master gardener
• Understanding of political processes and the municipal infrastructure sector
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Independent and team-oriented personality with leadership experience
• Residence in Dietikon or a neighbouring municipality is an advantage
