About the job
Occupational Therapist Wanted – Mobile Occupational Therapy in Zug
You know exactly what occupational therapy is really about – not pegboards on the table and a leaflet to take away.
But about Mr M. buttoning his shirt himself again. About Mrs W. having breakfast alone at the kitchen table after a stroke. About someone who no longer thought it possible managing it after all – because you know where to start.
This is what your day looks like
08:00
You start with your company car. Your first assignment takes you to Baar – to a client after a stroke. Today, training independence in everyday life is on the agenda. You already know her and know what you are working on this week.
08:15
Kitchen instead of therapy room. The kettle is too high, the drawer sticks, the affected hand is not cooperating properly yet. This is exactly where what really matters in everyday life becomes apparent.
You observe, adjust and instruct the daughter for exercises between your visits.
09:45
Short drive to Zug. On the way, you call the physiotherapist – you both care for the same client and discuss the provision of aids together. Bath board or shower chair? The decision is made together – today.
10:15
Second assignment: Home modification after hospital discharge. You look at the route from the bed to the bathroom, check door thresholds and handle heights and quickly know which adjustments are sensible in the next three weeks.
You write the report for the health insurance later easily via app.
12:30
Lunch break – you decide where. No canteen table, no briefing in the meeting room.
13:30 to 16:30
Three more assignments in Cham, Rotkreuz and Steinhausen. Hand therapy, cognitive training, fall prevention – always where your clients actually live.
You finish at 17:00.
What you do with us
- Mobile occupational therapy at clients’ homes – in the flat, bathroom, kitchen and immediate living environment
- Geriatric and orthopaedic rehabilitation – after falls, hand injuries, prosthesis provision or hospital discharge
- Training of everyday activities – personal care, dressing, cooking and household in the real living environment
- Hand therapy, fine motor skills and cognitive training – depending on the individual needs of your clients
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with physiotherapy, speech therapy and nursing for the same client
- Reports for disability insurance, health insurers and referring doctors – digital and uncomplicated on the go
What you bring with you
- Diploma as an occupational therapist FH or equivalent training recognised in Switzerland
- Driving licence category B – you travel daily between your assignments. Company car including private use will be provided to you from day 1.
- Experience with adults – ideally in neurology, geriatrics or hand therapy. Paediatrics is a different professional field.
- Enjoyment of independent work – you decide on site, without a boss in the room. The team is reachable by phone for you.
- Local knowledge of Zug and surroundings is an advantage – you move between city, neighbourhood, village and sometimes also old building staircases.
- You don’t need your own therapy room. Your workplace is your client’s flat. That is our method – no compromise.
What we offer:
- 🚗 Company car including private use
Fuel card included – also for your private journeys at weekends. - ⌛ Workload 80–100%
You choose your workload. Returnees and individual part-time models are also welcome. - 🏠 Home office for your administration
You complete reports, documentation and planning flexibly from home. - ⏱️ No shift work
Monday to Friday, no night shifts. You plan your working day independently. - 📍 Short distances in your region
Your assignments around Zug are usually within a manageable driving area. More time for therapy, less time in the car. - 🧑 🎓 Further training is supported
We support you in terms of time and finances – for example in neurorehabilitation, hand therapy or provision of aids. - 🏝️ 5 weeks holiday plus health bonus
Up to two additional days of holiday per year.
Why reha at home — and not a clinic or practice?
- You work in real everyday life – not in a therapy room simulating everyday life.
- Kitchen. Bathroom. Staircase. Neighbourhood street.
- This is your therapy room.
- You have more time per client than in many traditional settings. No constant pace, no waiting room full of patients. You can stay where it is currently important.
- And you work interdisciplinarily: occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and nursing work on the same client. Not side by side and not just by file note – but agreed, coordinated and together.
- We combine mobile rehabilitation, therapy and nursing in a form that is rarely found elsewhere.
Who we are:
reha at home AG is many things – but ordinary we are not. 💥
As an innovative company of the Knecht Group, we combine mobile rehabilitation with classic Spitex services.
From Thun to Solothurn, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, nursing specialists and SRK nursing assistants work hand in hand.
This means: We bring therapy and nursing to where our clients feel most comfortable – home. 🏠
Are you looking for a job in occupational therapy in Zug and surroundings that is more than a position in a practice or clinic?
Then your new role in mobile occupational therapy and rehabilitation might be right here.
