Apprenticeship Profession
What are the moves of a draftsman/draftswoman?
No plan? Not on board!
With us, the plan is the absolute gamechanger. As a draftsman/-woman, you are the person who develops and designs plans. Only in this way can magnificent buildings come to life. The computer with the CAD program is your best buddy. It helps you draw everything precisely.
Fine tuning
You discuss plans with your project manager and make the necessary corrections until everything fits. When the plans are finished, you get to fine tuning. You create the necessary detailed plans and material lists so that the basis for the construction site is available.
Things don’t always go according to plan, then it gets really tricky.
But for you, no problem. You tinker with solutions for the tricky parts of the project. Math, natural laws, and building regulations come into play – super important.
Out in the fresh air
On the construction site, you take photos for documentation and check everything during tours. This can be the inspection of steel reinforcement in building construction or sometimes a layer of the curb in civil engineering.
