About the job
Technical All-Rounder Property Maintenance (m/f/d)
Carpenter / Kitchen Fitter / Versatile Craftsman with Coordination Tasks
Are you skilled in various crafts, enjoy working hands-on yourself and at the same time keep an overview? Then this position could be just right for you.
We are a family-run property company in the Basel region and manage our properties with our own team of craftsmen. Due to the upcoming retirement of a long-standing employee, we are looking for an experienced, reliable and versatile personality who enjoys practical work and is at the same time willing to gradually take on additional responsibility within our team of craftsmen.
Your tasks
Your daily work is varied and ranges from minor repairs in our properties to accompanying conversion and renovation work. These include in particular:
- General repair and maintenance work in apartments and properties
- Carpentry work as well as repair and adjustment of doors, windows, shutters and locks
- Assembly, adjustment and repair of kitchens and kitchen elements
- Measuring, planning and ordering kitchens as well as organising the required materials
- Technical clarifications for repairs and damage cases
- Assessment of apartments regarding necessary work before re-letting
- Minor work and clarifications on radiators and heating valves
- Independent appointment scheduling and coordination with tenants
- Support and professional exchange with our internal craftsmen
- Accompanying and monitoring ongoing renovations and smaller construction sites
- Coordination of workflows and material requirements in consultation with the office
- Gradual assumption of additional responsibility as a link between management/office and our team of craftsmen
In doing so, you are not only a coordinator but also actively work yourself. It is precisely this combination of craft activity, technical understanding and organisation that characterises the position.
What we offer you
- A varied and long-term position in a family-run property company
- Lots of independence and short decision-making paths
- A working day where no day looks exactly the same
- Your own team of craftsmen and direct exchange with management
- The opportunity to contribute your experience and gradually expand your area of responsibility
- A combination of practical craft, technical maintenance and coordination
- Contemporary employment conditions and a secure workplace

What you bring with you
- Completed craft training, ideally as a carpenter, kitchen fitter or in a comparable profession
- Several years of professional experience and a broad craft understanding
- Experience in building maintenance, renovations or kitchen construction is an advantage
- Ability to independently analyse minor problems and find pragmatic solutions
- Organisational talent and enjoyment in keeping an overview of several ongoing tasks
- Independent and reliable working style
- Friendly and professional manner towards tenants, owners and external craftsmen
- Enjoyment in working with a well-coordinated team of craftsmen
- Willingness to take on more responsibility in coordinating the team and construction sites as experience grows
- Driving licence category B
You do not yet have to be a proven manager. Practical experience, natural authority, organisational talent and willingness to take responsibility and develop within our company are much more important to us.
You are a practitioner, like to find solutions for technical and craft problems and would like to take on a little more responsibility in the future without losing touch with the craft?
Then we look forward to getting to know you.
