Finance & Human Resources Manager
In this key role within our small team, you will be responsible for the association's finance and accounting and simultaneously manage the administrative aspects of human resources. You will work closely with the Managing Director and actively contribute to the smooth running of our organisation.
Your tasks
Finance & Accounting
- Managing the financial accounting and recording business transactions;
- Managing accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and monitoring incoming payments;
- Preparing financial closings and assisting in the preparation of the annual accounts;
- Creating budgets, budget control, and preparing various financial reports and statements;
- Preparing payroll and handling social insurance matters;
- Preparing the necessary documents and information for the association's various bodies and external partners.
Human Resources
- Administrative management of personnel files;
- Handling salaries, absences, social insurance, and other administrative personnel matters;
- Supporting management with questions related to human resources and personnel management;
- Participating in recruitment processes and the onboarding of new employees.
And because we are a small team…
- Maintaining contacts with our members, breeders, clients, suppliers, and partners in German and French;
- Contributing to various administrative files and projects of the association;
- Supporting the team in organising our events and occasional on-site participation.
Your profile
You are a careful, reliable, and well-organised individual who values both independent work and teamwork. You are used to handling multiple files simultaneously and maintain an overview even during busy periods.
Furthermore, you ideally possess the following qualifications:
- Commercial training, ideally supplemented by advanced training in finance and accounting, or an equivalent qualification;
- Several years or proven professional experience in accounting and financial management;
- Good knowledge of payroll administration, social insurance, and the main provisions of Swiss labour law;
- Native German or French speaker with very good oral and written skills in the other language; bilingualism is a significant advantage;
- Very good knowledge of common IT applications, especially Excel, and confident use of accounting and payroll software;
- Independent, structured, and precise working style;
- Strong sense of responsibility, discretion, and reliability;
- Enjoyment in dealing with people and strong communication skills;
- Flexibility and willingness to work, especially during certain association events.
Knowledge of the equine sector and particularly of Freiberger breeding is an advantage but not a requirement.

Your missions

Your profile
You are a rigorous, reliable, and organised person who values both autonomy and teamwork. You know how to manage several files simultaneously and keep a good overview, even during busy periods.
You also have the following qualifications:
- Commercial training ideally complemented by higher education in finance and accounting, or equivalent training;
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management;
- Good knowledge of payroll management, social insurance, and the main provisions relating to employment relationships in Switzerland;
- Native French or German speaker with very good oral and written knowledge of the other language; bilingualism is a significant asset;
- Very good command of common IT tools, especially Excel, and ease with accounting and payroll software;
- Ability to work independently, in a structured and precise manner;
- Sense of responsibility, discretion, and reliability;
- Good interpersonal skills and a taste for contact;
- Flexibility and availability, especially during certain events organised by the Federation.
Knowledge of the equine environment and particularly of Franches-Montagnes horse breeding is an advantage but not essential.
