Position: Test & Validation Engineer Intern (Actuators)

Entity: Business Line Thermal Management

Location: Boncourt, Switzerland

Within an R&D team, you will contribute to the capitalisation and utilisation of data from numerous environmental test campaigns conducted on mechatronic actuators. These tests (lifetime, vibrations, thermal shocks, etc.) provide a valuable source of information to better understand the performance of our products and support technical decisions on future developments.

The objective of the internship is to centralise, structure and analyse historical environmental test data to identify significant trends and assess actuator behaviour under different usage profiles.

· Inventory available test campaigns and associated data.

· Set up a database or a tool for capitalising test results (advanced Excel, Python, etc.).

· Structure and validate data (standardising formats, defining relevant indicators).

· Analyse test results (lifetime, critical conditions, failure modes).

· Compare different load profiles and usage cycles.

· Define a predictive approach (extrapolation, comparative scenarios) to estimate the impact of alternative usage cycles.

· Develop summary tables and decision support tools for technical teams.

These activities will contribute to creating a structured knowledge base to enhance the value of historical test data and improve understanding of product behaviour under various usage conditions.

· Strong interest in analysing and utilising technical data.

· Good command of Excel and Python.

· Autonomy, rigour and technical curiosity.

· Engineering student in the final year of studies (Master’s level or equivalent), specialising in mechatronics.
