About the job
Within Précieuses Manufactures, an acquisition subsidiary of the Watchmaking-Jewellery division of the Chanel house, you will support the M&A Manager in their various tasks.
This internship covers a wide range of financial, legal and operational topics related to acquired companies. It requires working on several files simultaneously, knowing how to prioritise and adapting quickly. You will be in contact with various stakeholders: executives, finance and legal teams, and external service providers.
Your responsibilities will notably include:
Acquisition monitoring
- Updating acquisition tracking tables and summary sheets of the companies
- in the portfolio.
- Preparing presentation materials for management.
- Contributing to the improvement of monitoring tools.
Budgetary processes and reporting
- Participating in the construction of budgets and budget revisions.
- Consolidating data provided by the companies and analysing their consistency.
- Preparing feedback and analysis materials for management.
Business plans and earn-out monitoring
- Participating in the review and updating of business plans for portfolio companies.
- Contributing to the estimation of earn-outs and monitoring associated indicators.
- Analysing variances between actual results and forecasts, and preparing corresponding summary elements.
Participation in impairment tests
- Participating in the collection and validation of data necessary for carrying out impairment tests
- on investments.
- Contributing to updating assumptions based on companies’ business plans.
- Preparing documentation and summary materials intended for management and
- finance teams.
Support for ERP deployment
- Participating in the identification, formalisation and documentation of company needs, particularly regarding finance, treasury and reporting processes.
- Participating in functional acceptance phases: preparing test scenarios, checking data quality, identifying and following up on anomaly resolution.
- Contributing to the preparation of user materials, training teams and post-launch support to ensure adoption of new tools.
- Participating in the analysis of gaps between existing and target processes, and proposing continuous improvement opportunities.
Profile sought
Education:
- Master’s student (year 2) in finance, management, audit or equivalent.
- Final-year internship.
Technical skills:
- Good command of Excel and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of financial consolidation principles and management control.
Personal qualities:
- Organisational skills and rigour.
- Analytical mindset and ability to manage large volumes of data.
- Interpersonal ease to work with various stakeholders (subsidiaries, shareholders, management).
- Proactivity and autonomy.
Position conditions:
An internship agreement is mandatory for this position and must meet the following conditions:
The internship must be part of your study curriculum.
The internship must be necessary for obtaining the degree.
The internship must be validated by the awarding of study credits.

Contract: full-time internship (100%) and on-site

Duration: 6 months
Working days: 5 days per week, Monday to Friday
