Project Management "WohnFit – Housing Search Contact Point" 80%

The "WohnFit" project offers support to people affected by poverty in their search for housing. The aim of the service is to contribute to equal opportunities in the Zurich housing market. In the low-threshold contact points, volunteers develop search strategies with the target group, prepare application documents, and ensure access to digital devices and skills. Professionals provide advice in precarious housing situations. The "WohnFit" project specifically uses practical knowledge to achieve improvements for people affected by poverty in the housing sector at a structural level.

Due to a personnel change, we are looking for a committed Project Manager (80%) from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.

• Responsibility for the operational implementation of the "WohnFit" project
• Recruitment, training and support of volunteers
• Assessment, triage and professional advice for people affected by poverty
• Design, implementation and further development of the contact points
• Public relations, advocacy and political lobbying at the interface of housing and poverty
• Participation in fundraising
• Responsibility for results and budget
• Project documentation, evaluation and controlling
• Management of one employee

You have sound knowledge of the Zurich housing market and are interested in housing policy as well as social urban development. In addition, you bring the following:

• University degree in social work, social sciences or a comparable field with a focus on social space
• Experience in project and volunteer management, ideally also in personnel management
• Enjoyment in advising housing seekers as well as organising and coordinating the contact points
• Willingness for regular evening shifts (every Monday)
• Calmness and flexibility in dynamic situations
• Confident appearance and strong ability to communicate complex issues in a target group-oriented manner
• Fluent German, both spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
