Protection and Rescue unites the organisations Fire Brigade Thun, Civil Protection Organisation Thun plus and the regional command body Thun plus under one roof. All organisations operate regionally and are based on the militia system with over 550 members. A total of twelve employees ensure administration, operations and training planning as well as logistics. We are looking for a

• You plan, lead and coordinate operations for the benefit of the community, refresher courses and emergency operations of all kinds in cooperation with the militia cadres
• You represent the commander in professional, personnel and organisational matters
• In cooperation with the commander and the office, you ensure the qualitative and professional fulfilment of the service mandate of the ZSO Thun plus
• You actively participate in the creation and optimisation of operational, emergency and contingency planning of Protection and Rescue
• You work on cross-organisational projects and contribute to the further development of leadership and operational processes
• With your technical skills, you support the logistics and infrastructure area in maintenance and servicing work

• We expect a successfully completed initial training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ)
• First knowledge and experience in civil protection, preferably in civil protection or fire brigade
• Civil protection training at platoon leader level or willingness to complete the training
• Additional training in leadership and/or adult education is an advantage
• Solid IT user skills as well as good written expression in German
• You work independently, are resilient, flexible and take responsibility
• You enjoy dealing with people and can communicate clearly, respectfully and solution-oriented even in demanding situations
• The position additionally includes supporting the militia in fire brigade operations; for this, respiratory protection fitness and willingness to undergo the corresponding training are required
