About the job
The Interest Group Lebendige Traditionen Basel-Landschaft (IG-LT BL) supports clubs and associations in preserving, further developing, and making living traditions visible.
Our office is currently being established and is intended to become the hub of a vibrant network: it connects, promotes knowledge exchange, advises, and supports – from club management and youth development to financing and communication, as well as educational and training offerings.
For this exciting role, we are looking for someone to start immediately or at the latest by January 2027
Head of the Lebendige Traditionen BL Office (60%)
As Head of the Lebendige Traditionen Office, you will face a demanding, varied, and exciting role in a motivating environment.
You will bear the main responsibility for building a sustainable network and a needs-based service offering. You will have significant scope to shape the content and strategic direction. As a committed and experienced individual who enjoys contributing to a pioneering development process, you will lead the office operationally and support the actors of the member associations.
Your tasks include the following key areas:
Strategic:
- Further development of the office (recommendations to the board): sharpening the objectives and the needs-based offering during the establishment phase and for the later regular operation
- Further development of the advisory and service offerings with a broad range of courses and workshops
- Participation in the development of a long-term financing strategy for IG-LT BL
- Development of school and mediation offerings
- Building and maintaining a sustainable network with all sponsors, course instructors, project leaders, municipalities, media, and other stakeholders
- Acquisition of additional IG-LT BL members with the aim of achieving the broadest possible coverage of sponsors
Operational:
- Operational management and budget responsibility of the office (reporting to the board)
- Covering the office opening hours (meetings and consultation appointments)
- Advising members and stakeholders
- Leading and participating in IG-LT BL projects aligned with strategic objectives
- Organising own and participating in third-party networking events
- Leading the support group and freelance staff in projects
- Collaboration and exchange with the board
- Further development and maintenance of the website
You bring with you:
You enjoy the strategic-operational and goal-oriented further development of the office and have experience in club work or folk culture. You have several years of project management experience and are familiar with official cultural funding. With your exceptional organisational and communication skills and your engaging personality, you develop a sustainable network and a service-oriented direction for the office, bringing a great deal of initiative, a high sense of responsibility, flexibility, and resilience. You hold a degree from a (technical) university at least at bachelor level or have comparable several years of experience. Good knowledge of folk cultural topics and the challenges faced by clubs and associations in amateur culture is an advantage for this role.
We are flexible regarding home office options but expect you to actively build and maintain your network with on-site presence.
We look forward to receiving your online application (cover letter, CV, work references, diplomas) by 9 October 2026 by email to: andreas.wirth(at)lebendigetraditionen-bl.ch
