The Department of Security and Environment, with its 440 employees, includes the areas of city police, protection & intervention, registration and civil status services, environmental and health protection, as well as the city magistrate's office. The department secretariat is the hub within the department, coordinating the work of the areas and supporting the department management in all leadership, organisational, and administrative tasks, and shaping the digital transformation of the department. At this exciting interface, we offer a university intern the opportunity to look behind the scenes of a city administration over the course of a year and to support the department staff in all its tasks.Your Tasks
We are looking for a university intern to start immediately or by arrangement with the following tasks:
- Supporting the department secretariat, especially in ensuring a smooth daily routine, appointment administration, correspondence, and general secretarial work
- Accompanying the department secretary in meetings to take minutes
- Use and maintenance of the electronic business management system (FABASOFT)
- Organisation and execution of medium-sized events, administrative preparation and follow-up of meetings
- Participation in projects, preparation of presentations and documents for the department management, as well as general support in the department's business operations
Your Profile
- Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in law, political science, economics, international relations, or a comparable field
- Communicative personality with skill in dealing with various stakeholders
- Interest in the political environment and working in city administration
- Independent and structured working style as well as enjoyment in taking responsibility for own tasks
- High service orientation, resilience, and flexibility
